TWO JAPANESE IRON SHAKUDO TSUBAS Edo period (1615-1868), includes a maru shaped iron tsuba with shakudo decoration in gold, silver and copper of samurai warriors battling by a lake or sea, possible meant to represent the Battle of Ichi-no-tani, decorated on both sides, bought in Japan in 1935, and a maru shaped iron tsuba sukashi cut off design with shakudo of blooming cherry tree with wine pots, possibly symbolizing hanami (cherry blossom viewing) or a spring wine festival, bought in Japan in 1962.
