Charley) Chilcote, (1888-1979), started at Weller Pottery at age 16 and worked alongside Sarah McLaughlin and Hester Pillsbury, among others. With Frank Ferrell, he was employed at J.B. Owen for one year prior to the firm's closure. He is later recorded as the Director of the Design Department at Zane Pottery, the former Peters and Reed plant.
