PAIR OF LARGE CHINESE CELADON GE-GLAZE VASE,19TH C Made in the early 1900's this pair of vases borrow from several well known and cherished styles of Chinese ceramics. The end result is two nearly identical pieces whose aesthetic amalgamation appears almost as a statement about financial statues. Their interior and exterior have crackle glaze with the exterior acting as a celadon ground for several different famille rose illustrations. Separating these are segments of metal inlay which is intricately carved into two different items

394. A Pair of Art Nouveau Ceramic Vases
A pair of Art Nouveau glazed ceramic vases with moriage designs, approx. 9-1/4"H, each marked on the underside "Ravissant ware", possibly made by the Hasselts Keramiek factory in Belgium, ca. 1910. The elegant vases are in a shape reflecting the Japonisme influence of the time, with delicately applied moriage designs in the image of a white calla lily half submerged in water with rippling rings around, and with underwater foliage below. The clear glossy glazes begin at the top in an aqua color and grade down the sides to a rich olive green.

515. Monumental Royal Dux Ceramic Vases
Monumental pair of Royal Dux double handled ceramic vases are accented by small bunches of flowers with twisting vines, ivy leaves and dainty wildflowers. Twig shaped handles are accented by gilded paint. Verso features the pink ceramic triangle, inscribed "Royal Dux Bohemia". The triangle also is inscribed with an acorn and the letter "E". Verso is impressed with the number 5507 and the roman numeral III. These pieces are also impressed with the number 25. Each vase measures apprx 19" H x 7" W.
