STAFFORDSHIRE, WEDGWOOD TRANSFERWARE PLATTERS, 3 Group of three Staffordshire English stoneware platters, including one chinoiserie patterned "Blue Willow" platter, and two Wedgwood platters, one with impressed stamp "Wedgwood" to underside. Largest: 13.5" H x 17" W. Each with light soiling, crazing, some hairline cracks and fleabites.

ENGLISH STONEWARE BARREL FORM CASKS Group of two 19th century English Victorian era stoneware barrel sprit casks or dispensers comprising, an oval form brown salt glazed three gallon Doulton and Watts, Lambeth (English 1826-1853), barrel decorated with the British Royal coat of arms, and a taupe alkaline glazed Rum barrel decorated with a coat of arms flanked by Prince of Wales feathers, the oval barrel marked to the top, the second having no apparent marks. Approximate dimensions: larger h. 13.75", w. 12.5", d. 10.5".

Silenus was an elderly companion of Bacchus, the Greek god of wine, and was a comic character of many satyr plays. He was intoxicated, and on the jug he is depicted being supported by two satyrs. Age related wear.
