Some similar examples to the cinnabar-ground famille rose porcelain 'dragon and phoenix' snuff bottle, which appears to be from the same mould but with a different colour scheme, are all dated to the Jiaqing period, including one from the Mary and George Bloch Collection, sold at Bonham's Hong Kong, 27 May 2012, lot 98.

Condition
The partially leather inset top in generally good condition with some wear to the leather. Scratches to the right drawer face. Minor separating at the seams on the circles in the legs. Some scuffing and nicks to the wood. Structurally sound and very weighty.Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.
