- NOTORIOUS (RKO, 1946) ONE SHEET NUMBERED
NOTORIOUS (RKO, 1946) ONE SHEET NUMBERED 46/854.One of Alfred Hitchcock's cinematic masterpieces, "Notorious" moving poster. Featuring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. Copyright 1946 RKO Radio Pictures (lower left). Numbered 46/854 (lower right).
An American secret agent (Cary Grant) is tasked with bringing the leader of a Nazi spy group (Claude Rains) to justice in one of Alfred Hitchcock's best films. Ingrid Bergman co-stars as a woman devastated by her German father's suicide. She is enlisted by Grant to seduce and wed Rains with hopes of bringing him down, in this classic tale of espionage. Popular rumors claim the film landed Hitchcock on the FBI's watch list, due to the use of uranium ore as a plot device in the days leading up to the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
