Fine walnut upright polyphon, figured walnut veneered case in two parts, upper case with glazed door and pierce carved spandrels and containing polyphone mechanism, lower case with fall front compartment containing eleven original 24-1/2 in. musical discs, inscription on back of lower case "R.S 35 Frankfort(?)…", German, late 19th century, 84-1/2 x 34-1/4 x 19-1/4 in. Case generally good condition with minor pest damage, lacking crown pediment, minor breaks and losses to pierced carving, some surface fading and other finish flaws. Private Collection, West Virginia
