Most likely sent to Miss (Georgina) Hogarth, Catherine Dickens' sister at the Dickens home at Gads Hill Place. Book printed in 1837 by Chapman and Hall. This is the tall edition with the additional plates by Buss. First edition. Rebound in contemporary brown leather with faux gilded ribs, and the title and author's name. Matches many first edition error points found in Smith (19-27). 609 pp. 4to.
