MYTHOLOGICAL MOTIF FRENCH MANTLE CLOCK, STAMPED TIFFANY & CO. 5 ?" thick x 12 ?" wide x 19" tall 3 ¾" white enamel dial has Roman numerals for all chapters, with all minute hash marks on a continuous circle at the dial's edge. Breguet style blued minute/hour hands. Beveled glass crystal. An approximate 80 mm round japy style, half and hour strike, post 1850 spring suspension movement. A gilt three dimensional figure of Hermes tightening his sandal, while standing on a brown patinated rock formation, on a stepped rectangular base. A Tiffany & Co plaque is soldered on the reverse. Weighs 17 lbs.

Artist signature on right. Enameled porcelain clock face with Arabic numerals and painted depiction of a cherub; works marked Marti et Cie, 1889, 367852. 15 1/4" H x 8 1/2" W x 6" D. French, late 19th century.
Condition:
1st item: Minor loss to gilding. One inconspicuous break to flower near right top. No key for works. 2nd item: Some craquelure on body. Loss to gilding on mounts. Works not checked for functionality.

Back of works marked "FC". Clock face with scarce remnants of Roman numerals. 19 3/4" H x 9 1/2" W x 6" D. 19th century. 2nd item: French figural gilt spelter and alabaster clock with male and female peasants standing atop a gilt metal mounted alabaster base. Clock face marked "Paris Giloteau and "?? Le Chateau"" with black Roman numerals. 15 1/2" H x 14" W x 5 1/4" D. Both clocks 19th century. Condition:
1st item: Considerable wear to clock face. General wear to case. Possible repaint to some of the gilt mounts. 2nd item: Wear to clock face and overall general wear to gilt. Neither clock tested for functionality.

RESTORATION ORMOLU CLOCK STYLE OF CHOISELATA French restoration period gilt and patinated bronze French mantle clock, depicting the mythological Jason, capturing the Golden Fleece with the head of the slain hydra at his feet. Supporting the fleece is a patinated bronze tree rising from a rocky base. The ormolu clock face has a Roman numeral dial and is decorated with two Grecian figures. Appears to retain the original brass works and pendulum. The rectangular verde antico-veneered base is supported on gilt bronze paw feet. 25" H x 15 1/2" x 7 1/7" D. Circa 1820. Note: This clock is similar to a model signed by Lesieur now in the Musee de Malmaison (MM 40-47-470). There are other closely related models including one in the Spanish Royal Collection (see J. Ramon Colon de Carvajal, Catalogo de Relojes del Patrimonio Nacional, Madrid, 1987, p, 186, no. 166), three models signed by Choiselat, one by Feuchere, one signed by Ledure and one signed by Lesieur Empire (see Sotheby's lot 151, December 11, 1981, and lot 28, March 3, 2006).
