Note: Thompson was the first African American artist to illustrate album & book covers in the US. His works are held at the Carnegie Museum of Art. He was highly talented creating covers for albums and books, including for Martin Luther King in 1969, Gershwin and Stanly Kubrick’s Clockwork Orange to name a few. His work is highly sought after.
