Rim adorned with 16 decorative hooks each depicting an American eagle grasping the Union Forever banner.?Lacking bridge strings tuner and tailpiece. This instrument is similar to those seen in Civil War images.AUCTIONEER'S NOTE: It has been called to our attention that this banjo was probably produced after the Civil War ca 1870s-1880s.?
