STAFFORDSHIRE SALTGLAZE ENAMELLED COMMEMORATIVE PLATE DEPICTING PRINCE CHARLIE, CIRCA 1760. , Painted in the center in blue, green, rose, yellow and brown and gold with a portrait of Prince Charlie attired in armor, flanked by the initials PC and within a foliate and ruffled scroll cartouche issuing flowering vinery, the cavetto with a scalloped border of alternating flowerheads and leaftips, the rim press-molded with vividly-colored alternating panels of trellis diaperwork, basketwork and chevrons edged with foliate scrolls.
