TWO 19C APOTHECARY CABINETS WITH REVERSE PAINTED LABELSThe matching cabinets are each configured with eight large drawers below twelve smaller drawers, all having cock beaded moldings framing the flame mahogany fronts which are set with a thick, gold foil reverse-painted glass identification label. The sides, backs, top and bottom of each case are unfinished. Each drawer is constructed with hand cut dovetails and hand chamfered bottom boards confirming the date as mid 19th century or earlier.Each measures 24 x 53 x 9.5 inches.Very good condition as shown, noting that six labels are chipped or crack, all are present and original as are the glass knobs on each drawer.Provenance: Private Collection Denver, Colorado.
