Signed with two red seals lower right. Four character signature on the back along with inscription referencing the work of Chuo Ying, one of the four masters of the Suzhou School, Ming Dynasty. Painting measures 36 1/4" H x 21 1/2" W. Scroll overall measures 60 3/4" H x 25" W. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd & 3rd items: Two scroll painting fragments including one depicting flowers and crab with signatures and seal mark, the other depicting a mountain and lake landscape with boat, signed with seal upper left. One measures 10 1/2" H x 11 3/8" W and the other 10 3/8" H x 10" W. Both unframed, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance: Forest Heights, Knoxville, TN collection.

Frame measures 34-1/2" in height by 29-1/4" in width with the sight image measuring 28" in height by 23" in width. All measurements are approximate. Sterling Boyd Strauser (American, 1907-1995) was a self taught American Impressionist painter and was known primarily for landscapes and still lifes.
