WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE BOWL. Beautiful small paneled Fairyland Lustre bowl is decorated with a mottled blue background on the exterior with gold and multicolored hummingbirds. Border at lip is made up of a line of gold cranes. Interior is mottled orange with a gold hummingbird at the bottom of the bowl. Interior border trim consists of stylized birds with red wings. Two Wedgwood "Fairyland" butterfly lustre bowls, Staffordshire, England, c. 1920, designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones, octagonal form with polychrome and gilt decoration on ivory ground exterior, mottled orange interior with center medallion of stylized flora, gilded top border, marked verso with Portland vase mark, "Wedgwood Made in England" and "Z4832", both with wear consistent with age and use, 2 5/8" diam. and 7" diam.
WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE PUNCHBOWL. Spectacular Fairyland Lustre punchbowl is decorated with Poplar Tree pattern on the exterior with green Poplar trees framing views of an Italianate park with cypresses, statues and a fountain, a bridge over river as well as an architectural feature which appears to be a viaduct or a bridge. The interior of the punchbowl is decorated in Woodland Bridge featuring a great deal of detail. A slender tree in the foreground supports a bird’s nest and extends up from an elaborate root system. The entire pattern has numerous hidden elves and trolls. Birds and fairies fly across the multi-colored sky. Bottom of the bowl is finished with a center medallion with a mermaid gazing into a mirror. Signed on the underside with Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood” and “Made in England”. SIZE: 9-3/4” dia x 5” t. WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE IMPERIAL BOWL. Truly fine museum quality Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre Imperial bowl is wonderfully decorated in the Lahore pattern. Exterior of bowl is brightly decorated against a rich midnight blue lustre background with bright colors of orange, yellow, blue and green. Interior of bowl is decorated with three large elephants, one large horse and rider, one large camel and flying birds. Decoration is done in black lustre against a cream and yellow background. Quite often in the Lahore pattern you will see a considerable amount of running in the black lustre figures, this piece shows very little, if any, running of color, a very fine example.
