Pauta Saila (Canadian 1916-2009) carved stone Inuit sculpture. Cape Dorset a large example of Pauta's most famous subject: the ''Dancing Polar Bear'' with carved bone teeth. Signed indistinctly on the base of the bear's right foot. Condition: very minor flakes to the inside edge of the bear's left foot in one area (foot on the ground) small amount of residue visible where the bone teeth meet stone see images.
