In a box seemingly made for them covered in green cloth with the word Shakespeare in white on the lid. Individual volumes of this edition are available at online booksellers', but no complete set, with or without a box.

First published edition. 8vo, orig. gilt floral & circular decorated blue green cloth, gilt-lettered & decorated spine; edges untrimmed; corners slightly bumped, minor edge wear. Floral decorated endpapers. Early owner's ink signature at head of title-page, pencil annotations on verso of dedication page & head of first contents page, otherwise internally clean. 4 pp adverts. Bright, attractive copy. Rossetti exhumed the only manuscript of his Poems in 1869 from the grave of his wife & the most famous of the Pre-Raphaelite models, Elizabeth Siddal, who had died of a laudanum overdose in 1861. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
