A rare Smith & Wesson Australian Colonial Police Contract New Model No. 3 single action revolver with shoulder stock and holsters
Serial no. 12210, .44 S&W Russian. 8 inch barrel with standard markings. Nickel-plated finish with casehardened hammer and triggerguard. Checkered hard rubber S&W grips. Butt marked with British government broad arrow and with S&W factory star indicating refinish. Shoulderstock with nickel-plated yoke serial numbered 12887 and also with broad arrow, screws in wrist enter from right side as is proper for this contract. Complete with black leather double flap holster and brown leather holster for shoulder stock.
Condition: Gun excellent as refinished by the factory, the barrel showing some spotting from holster wear, the hammer and trigger retaining faded casehardening. Stock excellent, the wood with minor marks, the yoke with 98% original nickel. Holsters with light scuffing.

S&W British Proof M&P Capture . 38 Revolver w/ CERT: For bidding in this lot is a Smith & Wesson "Model 10" Military & Police revolver. The revolver is chambered in . 38 S&W, and showcases British proof marks, attributing this firearm to the "Lend-Lease" program of World War Two. The firearm is accompanied by two documents written to Staff Sargeant Ervin J. Meier, dated to November 13th, 1945. The certificates grant permission to Sargeant Meier under the provisions of Section VI, Cir 155, WD that the revolver could be brought home as a souvenir of war. Both certificates have matching serial numbers to the revolver. The revolver has typical features of the M&P model, displaying a blue'd finish, 5" barrel with a locking underlug, square butt frame, checkered walnut grips, and correct roll-stamping. The serial number of the revolver dates the firearm to the late 1930's or early 1940's, and is believed to be a 3rd change. Overall, the revolver shows good condition for age, with a very-strong bore, tight action, and a natural patina. Serial # CAE3810 This model is referred to as the ".38 Military & Police Stainless Model" built on the K frame and chambered for the .38 Smith & Wesson Special. The 64-5 was introduced in 1988 and had the new yoke retention system on a 4" heavy barrel. Standard features include six-shot, fluted cylinder, double action and fixed sights. Gun has been fired but remains in excellent condition. Grips have been replaced with finger groove hard rubber. Action and bore are fine.
