GROUPING OF VINTAGE TIN & CAST IRON TOYS, 10 TOTAL1st item: Marx two-wheeled spring loaded tin cannon, Marx logo on back panel. 21 1/2" L x 6" W. 2nd item: Cast iron signal cannon on tin frame with iron wheels. 14" L x 5 1/4" W. 3rd item: Wheeled green tin ship with wooden smoke stacks and gun turrets, "New York" printed on sides. 17" L x 4 1/2" W x 10 3/4" H at tallest point. 4th item: "Rich's Little Milk Man 1922" with wooden horse and tin/wood wagon. Size 20 1/2" L x 4 1/2" D x 9 1/2" H. 5th & 6th items: 1940's Paper Mache Cat with glass eyes, 7" L x 7" H. Tin litho Marx cat with rolling wooden ball. 8 3/4" L x 4 1/2" H. 7th - 10th items: Variety of toys including tin dog with shoe, 3 1/2" L; plastic bird in boot 3 1/4" L and two paper candy container rabbits with removable heads, 5 1/2" L . Condition:
1st item: Overall good condition with scattered wear to paint, minor rust, bent top shield, wheels tilt inward. 2nd item: Good condition with paint marks underneath. Frame and wheels show scattered wear and rust. 3rd item: Good condition with wear to paint. Some rusting. Missing 4 gun turrets. 4th item: Good condition overall, with surface grime. Wagon top has 1" chip. Yoke has replacement dowel and is detached from wagon. 5th & 6th items: Paper Mache cat ears/feet damaged, crackling and pen/pencil marks on surface. Marx cat tail no longer pulls down, overall good condition. 7th-10th items: Bird in boot has some cracked/missing plastic. Other items are in very good condition overall.

18TH C. INDONESIAN BRONZE LANTAKA DRAGON HEAD MUZZLESoutheast Asia, Indonesia, ca. late 18th to 19th century CE. A cast-bronze signal cannon or swivel gun known as a lantaka (also rentaka) meant to be mounted on or within merchant vessels and warships. The cannon has an angular back end in front of a tail which doubles as the handle, a line of scales along the back, and a stylized dragon head as the muzzle with flaming projections used as sights. A swivel pin hinges from 2 lateral trunnions, and a diamond-shaped fuse hole rests just behind a slender suspension ring. The name lantaka is derived from the Malay word 'lantak,' meaning "hammering down" or "ramming down" in reference to the muzzle-loading firing method. Size: 14.5" L x 1.9" W (36.8 cm x 4.8 cm); (bore): 0.4" W (1 cm)
