SEVRES BOWL, CUP & SAUCER PLUS LIMOGES DESK ITEMSOne (1) Sevres turquoise bowl, centered with a painted likeness of Demeter, Greek goddess of the harvest, the interior sides adorned with raised enamel jewel ornamentation and gilt scrolls and gilt rim, marked with crossed L's with a center lowercase "a" and "S" beneath, 8 1/4" Dia. 2 1/4" H. 19th century; One (1) cup with matching saucer, having hand painted florals and gilt rims, bases with "M. Imp de Sevres" marks, cup 2 3/4" H, saucer 5 1/2" Dia. 19th century; GL Limoges desk accessories including inkwell, letter holder, and blotter corners, marked "Made in France" with script GL, the letter holder also with "Limoges". Inkwell 3" H x 8" W x 6" D; Letter holder 5 1/2" H x 6 1/2" W x 1 3/4" D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
Condition:
all with slight gilt loss, bowl with 1/2" scratch to interior scene, inkwell with 1/4" chip to left pot rim and one finial repaired.

PAIR OF SEVRES PORCELAIN TURQUOISE-GROUND (LATER-DECORATED) LOBED TRAYS (PLATEAU LONG UNI) AND A SEVRES TURQUOISE-GROUND (LATER-DECO...PAIR OF SEVRES PORCELAIN TURQUOISE-GROUND (LATER-DECORATED) LOBED TRAYS (PLATEAU LONG UNI) AND A SEVRES TURQUOISE-GROUND (LATER-DECORATED) COFFEE CAN AND SAUCER (GOBELET LITRON ET SA SOUCOUPE) , French, the porcelain late 18th Century, the decoration 19th Century, the coffee can and saucer with interlaced L's enclosing the date letter dd to the cup and painter's mark P7 for Pierre, le jeune, gilder's mark for Chauvaux, l'aine, the saucer with a spurious gilt mark, both with incised numerals, the cup painted with a vignette of a seated figure within a gilt floral cartouche, the saucer with a pastoral vignette of a mother and child, gilt dentil rims, dia: 4.75 in. (the saucer); the lobed trays with blue interlaced L's marks and incised numerals, each painted with a central vignette of paired putti either fishing or gathering flowers, within a gilt foliate surround, the shaped bleu celeste border with gilt dentil rim, w: 6.75 in.; the sugar bowl and cover on fixed stand with blue interlaced L's mark and incised 8, the shaped oval cover with flattened knop finial, painted with a panel of a young maiden asleep beside a bale of hay, within a gilt turquoise ribbon surround entwined with a garland of roses, the bowl and attached stand painted with similar ribbons and enriched with gilt swags at each end w: 9.25 in. Provenance: Property of The Society of the Cincinnati Literature: Jean-Jacques Pierre, le jeune, is recorded as a painter of flowers not figures (active 1763-1800). The gilding found in the coffee can and saucer can no longer be by Michel-Barnabe Chauvaux,l'aine(active 1752-88), as it is applied on top of the later ground color.
