A CIRCA 1886 SETH THOMAS REGULATOR NO. 14 OR 15 CASE FITTED WITH A NO. 69 OR 69A MOVEMENT, THE CASE HAVING WALNUT AND BURLED VENEERS...A circa 1886 Seth Thomas Regulator No. 14 or 15 case fitted with a No. 69 or 69A movement, the case having walnut and burled veneers on a base with a lockable door, the 14 inch silvered very heavy brass dial is unrestored, the heavy cast iron brass faced and damascened pendulum hangs from a large cast bracket behind the knurled brass cased, single weight, the case has original finish and overall condition is excellent. One side return in the crest is unglued, the movement is a No. 69 or 69A with lantern pinions and Graham deadbeat escapement; this is a very impressive, high quality clock that is rarely available, the movement has no missing or broken parts, it rotates freely with finger pressure and manual pendulum crutch motion, it needs cleaning; 100" h.

Seth Thomas mahogany tall case clock with swan neck pediment and turned finial brass dial with Arabic numerals Blue Moon phase dial filiagree spandrels two-part glass door chimes 75 1/2'' h. x 17 1/2'' w. x 8 1/2'' d.
Seth Thomas Off-Center Pillar and Scroll Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1818, the mahogany scroll-top case with printed maker's label inside stating in part, Patent Clocks/Made and Sold by/SETH THOMAS/ and warranted if well used., painted wooden Roman numeral dial with floral spandrels, Arabic minute marks inside the chapter ring and seconds bit, thirty-hour, time and strike, wooden strap movement with center count-wheel regulated by off-center-mounted pendulum and powered by two compounded weights, ht. 29 1/2 in. Estimate $1,000-2,000 dial is undisturbed, lower glass is repainted, scrolls, feet and dial are undisturbed, hollow urn finials appear to be the original, object right front foot a probable replacement, case refinished with age consistent repairs. A circa 1886 Seth Thomas Regulator No. 14 or 15 case fitted with a No. 69 or 69A movement, the case having walnut and burled veneers on a base with a lockable door, the 14 inch silvered very heavy brass dial is unrestored, the heavy cast iron brass faced and damascened pendulum hangs from a large cast bracket behind the knurled brass cased, single weight, the case has original finish and overall condition is excellent. One side return in the crest is unglued, the movement is a No. 69 or 69A with lantern pinions and Graham deadbeat escapement; this is a very impressive, high quality clock that is rarely available, the movement has no missing or broken parts, it rotates freely with finger pressure and manual pendulum crutch motion, it needs cleaning; 100" h.

Seth Thomas Off-center Pillar and Scroll Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1820, painted wooden dial with Arabic numerals, inside minute track and gilt decoration, scroll-top case with three brass finials, reverse-painted lower tablet depicting a rural scene and off-center pendulum aperture, printed maker's label stating in part Patent Clocks Made and Sold by SETH THOMAS; and warranted if well used, thirty-hour strap wooden movement with center mounted count-wheel all powered by two compound-hung weights and pendulum, ht. 30 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Clock ticks and strikes. A couple of small scratches on the dial. Both door glasses appear to be original to the clock. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Two Seth Thomas #2 Weight-powered Brass Clock Movements, with deadbeat escapements, maintaining power, trapezoidal plates, cast iron mounting frames, brass-cased weights and pendulum bobs.
Despite slight surface on steel parts, these movements, weights and pendulum bobs have never been used and were brand new approximately 40 years ago. These are original Seth Thomas issue and not the poorly made reproductions found today.
