LATE 19TH CENTURY Consisting of four breakfast articles, Russia 84 zollotniki, gold was interiors, exceptionally fine hand chased Pan-Slavic design with niello highlights, hand chased figural pictorial reserves with niello finish, depicting Imperial Russia peasants every day life, including: footed bowl, inscribed in Cyrillic "Our ancestors ate simple food and lived 100 years", 2 ?" x 5 ?"; cup with handle, inscribed in Cyrillic ""Bottom's up - there is good stuff at the bottom", 3 ¼" x 4 ?" x 2 ?"; milk jug, inscribed in Cyrillic ""It's a good news, if it's a meal time", 4 ¼" x 4" x 3 ½"; and a spoon, inscribed in Cyrillic ""Be thankful for all your nourishments", 6 ¼" with 2 ?" bowl.
Each piece fully marked on the bottom with Imperial Russian silver 84 (875 silver standard), assay master B.C (Viktor Savinsky, Moscow, active 1859-1894), Moscow city mark, year 1887, maker's mark in Cyrillic "BC" (Vasiliì S. Semenov (Postnikova-Loseva # 2339)) on the bottom. Each piece finely hand engraved in script with dedication: "Georgiana Wilson McKee / from her Father's friends of "Number Six" / April twenty-fifth 1892" on the bottom.

Marked with Russian silver 84, Moscow city mark, assayer's mark "IN" in Cyrillic and date 1841, and maker's mark "AG" in Cyrillic on bowl back and handle. Weighs 7.54 toz.
