Provenance: Property from the Estate of Professor Harry Stone, Brentwood, California. Recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in the 1960s, a world traveler and author of multiple books on Victorian furniture. Condition: Each framed behind glass. The first with a crack to glass spanning the width.

FRAME HEIGHTS 10" AND 4".FIVE PERSIAN MINIATURE PAINTINGS, Late 19th/Early 20th Century, Three housed together in a carved wooden mihrab-shaped frame, one painting depicting the Taj Mahal and the other two portraits of the emperor Shah Jahan and his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The other two paintings housed together in a fitted blue silk-lined case, both portraits of Shah Jahan and his wife. Each frame with an easel back. Dimensions: Painting lengths 2.5" and 2". Frame heights 10" and 4".
