A GROUP OF HIMALAYAN RELIGIOUS OBJECTS Includes a white metal cast sculpture of the Bodhisattva Tara (3 3/4 in.)(good estate condition; some wear and loss to bottom edge of lotus petal base), a bronze sculpture of Ganesha standing on the back of his vahana vehicle of a large rat, like an elephant, rats can overcome obstacles, Ganesha has his elephant face and four hands holding items associated with him, all upon a lotus blossom base (5 1/2 in.)(general rubbing and wear; some small nicks to edges), and a very nicely cast vajra (dorje), a Tibetan Buddhist ritual implement symbolic of a thunderbolt weapon that destroys both internal and external enemies, and also represents indestructible and all-penetrating mind of enlightenment (length 5 1/4 in.)(rubbing and wear as expected with age and use).

A HIMALAYAN GILT BRONZE SCULPTURE OF CHENREZIG 19th or 20th century, Tibetan or Nepalese, a nicely cast sculpture of a seated bodhisattva holding prayers beads in one raised hand and a jar with the elixir of life in her lap, wearing elaborate jewelry, earrings, and a tiered crown, Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is the bodhisattva of compassion and is highly revered in Buddhism, has a dotted inscription to reverse side of lotus blossom base.

A HIMALAYAN BUDDHIST THANGKA PAINTING 18th or 19th century, Bhutan or Tibet, pigments and gold on cloth, colors are very vivid and possible mineral pigments, an unusual composition with Shakyamuni Buddha standing in the center with a golden bridge leading up to a dwelling with Amitabha Buddha seated, below are worshippers and deities, there are white stupas dotting the landscape, swirling clouds and Buddhist treasure symbols are seen throughout, framed under glass, the reverse side is left open so you can see back of painting exposed.
