Peiser originally received her Masters of Science in Education and became a high school teacher before marrying a design house employee. She began to experiment with clay and joined an art collective, from there developing her own kaleidoscope style pottery.

Some cotton is showing through the satin in small amounts which is original to the piece as photographed on the artist's website. Some residue on the plinth from an old gallery label.
