A FINE SCOTTISH GEORGE III BRAKET CLOCK BY JAMES NICOLL CANONGATE EDINBURGH, CIRCA 1770
The double fusee bracket clock with verge escapement and pull repeat, housed within a black lacquer case with glazed sides and back, the bell top surmounted with brass swan neck handle raised on brass ogee bracket feet, 28cm width x 18cm depth x 48.5cm height.
Provenance: Purchased in 1978 from then G.E.Marsh now Carter Marsh & Co, Winchester.
Not recently serviced or timed.

The clock face and casing is in good order with minor surface wear in line with age and use.
Overall this is a good honest clock and movement.
