CIVIL WAR SIGNED PRESENTATION PORTRAIT OF FRANCISE Brownell, the avenger of Colonel Elmer Ellsworth. This is a post war image with Brownell in his GAR uniform, wearing all his war related medals and veteran badges, including the medal of honor. Brownell received the medal of honor, in 1877, which was the first medal issued to a civil war veteran. 12" by 10". Some chipping and paper loss to the edges. Minor discoloration. Along with a CDV of Cortland Ingraham, First Lieutenant in the New Jersey cavalry. 4 1/4" by 2 1/2". Shows staining.
