Nancy Sawyers married Confederate First Lieutenant Ganum Cox McBee (died 1902) of the Tennessee Infantry on October, 10, 1865. Ganum was wounded in the battle of Newtown, VA (November 1864) with a head injury. Archive includes a large photographic print of Ganum and Nancy McBee with other family members (possibly their children), an offset color print portrait of Ganum and Nancy (framed), earlier portrait images relating to family members, copper plate negative of Nancy Sawyers Mcbee, various 19th century tax receipts and family related correspondence, receipts from regional merchants, death memorial embossed card for Ganum McBee, book of Common Prayer and Holy Bible, 19th century women's clothing accessories, remnants of an 18th century purse, framed CDV images of Nancy Sawyers McBee and William Sawyers, and three gold filled Victorian bracelets.
