  ALL SILVER PARADE CANE-Ca. 1930 -Entirely fashioned of low-grade silver, the cane consists of a substantial handle depicting a mythical prone lion with a larger, integral and lobbed ball collar extending in an almost cylindrical shaft with ten, differently chased, yet matching sections. Heeled with an integral silver ferrule, the shaft is threaded and breaks in two parts for storage. -This cane belongs to those elaborate cross-cultural creation that mix European shapes with exotic Indian decorating techniques and offers a glimpse into the depth and richness of the history and tradition of that part of the world. -Endowed with a tremendous, striking presence this highly decorative cane is pretty much similar to the type of canes Elton John used to wear on stage in the 1970’s. -It was one of the favorite possessions of a well-known character of the American collector’s community from Southern Florida, who always awakened the curiosity of every interlocutor with his Silver Lion Cane and triggered enthusiastic and never-ending walking stick discussions. -The cane survived in excellent condition and only in need of some surface cleaning. -H. 6” x 5”, O.L. 35” -$400-$500
