A lovely set of nine Dresden dinner plates. Each plate has a scalloped gilt rim and beautiful gilt floral boarder. At the top of each plate is a gilt framed, hand painted portrait of a lady. On the recto of each plate, the ladies are named as follows: Julia Joneaga, August Princess of Liegnitz, Mlle Tagloini, Coeleste, Casimira Wolonska, Anna B. Kaula, Beatrice Cenci, Rembrand wif and Rosalba Carriere. Beatrice Cenci, Rembrand wif and Rosalba Carriere are also marked, Dresden Gallery, indicating that their portraits also hang in the Dresden Gallery. Seven plates are stamped "Dresden m.180" and two plates are stamped "Dresden 180". They are all apprx 9-1/2" diam.
