Fine and Rare Chamberlain's WorcesterFine and Rare Chamberlain's Worcester Porcelain Cabinet Figure, second quarter 19th century, depicting a figure of a putto seated in a First Empire-style throne and bearing a white biscuit porcelain wreath in the French taste, the base inscribed on the base, underglaze, "Chamberlain's/Worcester/155 New Bond Street/London/Royal Porcelain Manufactory", the throne gilded in matte and bright finishes and having a ruby-red sear cushion and a matte royal-blue, gold-fringed apron and exterior back, h. 6", w. 4-1/4". Chamberlain's Worcester (active ca. 1786-1852) was famous for its works executed in the French taste in the second quarter of the nineteenth century. See G.
