LATE-MEDIEVAL GREGORIAN CHANT ON PARCHMENTA Gregorian chant notated on a large two-sided leaf, hand-painted on parchment, from the late Medieval period circa 13th-15th century. Latin liturgical antiphonal with neumatic notation in the C clef, pages 100-101 from a choirbook. On one side is marginalia reading "Florence, Italy 1924", and alongside is framed an old photo of the statue of Guido of Arezzo in the Uffizi Gallery. The leaf measures approximately 16 1/4" x 12".
Condition
The parchment is wrinkling, particularly toward the bottom, and shows some staining in areas.
