FIVE PAIRS OF BOOKENDS AND TWO SINGLE BOOKENDS WITH EGY...FIVE PAIRS OF BOOKENDS AND TWO SINGLE BOOKENDS WITH EGYPTIAN AND CLASSICAL THEMES, AMERICAN, 20TH CENTURY, comprising a pair of copper-clad, seated Egyptian figures; a pair of copper finished bookend figures depicting Rodin's "The Thinker;" a pair of brass-finished bookends depicting a kneeling figure, verso an indistinct foundry stamp, and indistinctly dated "19©28"; a pair of cast iron bookends with a classical bust wearing a laurel wreath; a pair of cast iron bookends depicting the sphinx in a frontal view; a single cast iron bookend depicting the sphinx in profile, verso the Bradley and Hubbard "BaH" stamp; and a single cast iron bookend depicting the sphinx in profile with gold paint; tallest height: 6 3/4''.
Condition:
Many of the pieces show signs of wear, rubbing, and pitting. The copper has worn through on the bottom of one of the seated Egyptian figures.
