• GORGEOUS GERMAN BOX-LOCK SHOTGUN,
  GORGEOUS GERMAN BOX-LOCK SHOTGUN, 12 GAUGE A beautiful, side by side double barrel shotgun by an unmarked and unnamed maker. The firearm features two round barrels in a deep blue finish with a solid rib, single bead sight, and floral engraving at the mouth of the chamber. These are fitted to an intricately engraved receiver with scroll work and floral designs, also featuring the safety marking inlaid in silver into the tang. The buttstock has fine checkering to the pistol grip with a raised cheekrest on the left-hand side. The trigger guard and buttplate are carved horn. While the shotgun is in overall good aesthetic condition with only some minor dings and cracks on the wood furniture, it does have some mechanical issues. The gun is set up for ejectors although they only function as extractors currently, the exact issue causing it is unclear. S/N: 7743, Caliber: 12 GA (2 3/4"), BBL: 30", LoP: 14".

  *German J.P. Sauer Royal Model Double-Barrel Shotgun 12 ga. 28.375'' Krupp steel barrels choked F/F S/N 302724. Blue barrels case colored receiver walnut checkered stocks DT ejectors cocking indicators LOP 15.25'' over added Pachmayr White Line pad. Condition: Very good condition with excellent bores. The barrels retain ca 90% original blue which is thinning (from carry wear) and ca 50% original case colors. The wood has been refinished and rates excellent. The receiver flats feature light scroll engraving while the belly of the receiver features pheasants in a wooded scene.

  US ARMS CO. SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN, 10 GAUGE A double-barreled, exposed hammer shotgun manufactured by the U.S. Arms Company. The shotgun features two 30" Damascus steel barrels with a simple bead sight on a lightly engraved receiver with checkered walnut furniture. The shotgun does appear to have seen extensive use with some slight dings throughout as well as evidence of extensive repair to the main grip, and the toe of the stock has a large chip missing. All mechanical functions of the gun are in working order. Overall fine condition. S/N: 62265, Caliber: 10 Gauge, BBL: 30", OAL: 46 1/2"

Engraving on this double rifle is of the highest quality very small scroll style engraving. Maker's name engraved in banners on the side locks Joh Springer Erben In Wien. Serial numbers are hand-engraved in the bottom tang. Open sights with a claw mount for scope. Finished in browned barrels and case colored action locks hammers triggerguard. Very fine checkered pistol grip buttstock with cheek piece and steel engraved buttplate with cartridge holder. Full checkered forearm with take down lever. Condition: Barrels retain most of the original browned finish. Top lever and firing pins have all of its high polished blue finish. Locks frame hammers upper tang and triggerguard retain all of the case hardened colors just slightly thinned. Buttplate retains most of the case colors just slightly thinned. Buttstock has some hand-painted numbers in the stock. Buttstock has some very minor nicks and dings. There are two small scratches in the checkering on the pistol grip on the left side. Forearm is in excellent condition. Bores are excellent.

• DOUBLE BARRELED PISTOL, GOLD PLATED
  DOUBLE BARRELED PISTOL, GOLD PLATED A gold-plated, double barreled, percussion-lock pistol evidently manufactured in Germany. While no exacty manufacturers mark can be found over the chambers of the two barrels is written in German "Ich wurde verfertiget auf Marienschlos Greb." Beyond the writing the octagon-to-round barrels are engraved with floral patterns down the rib between them as well as some scales engraved around the muzzles. The trigger guard and pommel are also gold-plated with a sunburst engraved onto the trigger guard. The wood furniture has fine wrap-around checkering on the grip as well as some spirals carved along the channel for the ramrod. The pistol is in overall alright condition with some wormholes throughout the wooden furniture, a large crack just behind the left lockplate, and heavy corrosion in both chambers. Only the left hammer engages with its sears while the right hammer pivots freely.

Shotgun has age appropriate wear with finish loss and oxidation. Lockup is very tight, top lever returns slightly to the right of center when barrels are closed. Small ding in right barrel visible in bore about 4 1/2" down from muzzle. Both bores are clean. No cracks in the rear stock, forestock has a shallow hairline age crack on the underside. Condition: Barrel retains about 79% of the original blue finish mixing with some brown spots  probably caused by storage. Should clean to very nice.  Action is very sharp and crisp with a mottled grey look.  Buttstock and forearm are excellent with minimal nicks and dings.  Bore is excellent.

Condition: Very good condition with a very good bore. The front sight insert is present but damaged missing the post and wings. The ramrod is missing and the receiver is void of finish. This gun is a work of art with full coverage engraving featuring a woman with a chalice in her hand on the left panel and scenes depicting cherubs in various activities on the rest of the receiver. The stocks are good to very good with several dings and scratches.
