Large Blue & White Transferware Serving Platter, depicting dogs and men atop an elephant hunting a tiger in India, from the Anthemion Border series by an unknown maker, the decoration based on scenes from the 1806 book "Oriental Field Sports" by Thomas Williamson (author) and Samuel Howitt (artist), published by Edward Orme, 17 3/4" x 22". 1 1/2" wide rim edge hairline.
