- CHRISTO "WRAPPED WALKWAYS" FABRIC AND
CHRISTO "WRAPPED WALKWAYS" FABRIC AND SIGNED BOOKA very large textile salvaged from Jeanne-Claude and Christo's monumental Wrapped Walk Ways project, a 1978 installation in which the artists covered the paths of Kansas City's Loose Park in a saffron-colored nylon. Though small clippings of the fabric can still be found (such clippings were inserted in the first edition copies of the installation's monograph), larger pieces like this one are quite rare to find. Measures approximately 7'5" x 8'7".
Offered with the fabric is a signed copy of the installation monograph: Christo: Wrapped Walk Ways , 1978 (first edition), Harry N. Abrams (New York). Complete with fabric insert. Signed inside the front cover.
Condition
The fabric is rather worn -- overall soiling with tattered edges. The book is in very good condition.
