ROOKWOOD & OWENSSeven (7) pieces of art pottery, including Rookwood and Owens vases. 1st - 3rd items: Three (3) Rookwood earthenware items, including one (1) vase with incised line and chevron decoration having blue matte glaze, base with incised Rookwood mark, date mark XXVII for 1927, and shape #2891; one (1) flower frog having rose matte glaze, base incised with Rookwood mark, date mark XVII for 1917, and shape #1621C; and one (1) flower frog with green glaze, base incised with Rookwood mark, date mark XX for 1920, and shape #1621C. Ranging in size from 1 5/8" H x 3 3/4" dia. to 9 1/8" H x 4 3/8" dia. 4th item: Owens Utopian vase with high round shoulder and flaired rim having yellow and green floral decorations on a brown and gold glazed grpund. "Owens" and number 128 impressed to base. 7 1/2" H x approx. 3 1/2" dia. Circa 1900. 5th item: Low bowl with blue glaze and rounded rim. Unmarked. 2" H x approx. 9" dia. 20th century. 6th - 7th items: Two (2) flower frogs, including one (1) with blue glaze and one (1) with green matte glaze. Both items unmarked. Ranging in size from 1 1/8" H x 2 3/8" dia. to 1 1/4" H x 2 3/4" dia. 20th century. All items American.
Condition:
1st -.3rd items: Overall good condition with minute wear to glaze; rose matte flower frog with light scattered fleabites to base; green glaze flower frog with crazing and hairline measuring approximately 2 1/2" L to base. 4th item: Overall very good condition with scattered crazing and minute wear to glaze. 5th item: Overall good condition with light scattered crazing, minor surface scratches, minor fleabites to base, hairline measuring 3 1/4" L. 6th - 7th items: Both items in overall good condition with fleabites to bases.

Sally or Sallie) Alice Toohey (1872-1941), the jug in the Limoges Japonisme style, the folded mouth enriched in gilt, graduated peach to mint-green 'iris' glazes, the body enameled with daisies flower sprays; the flare vase molded with lily pads and marsh grass, in high gloss graduated ivory glazes and the tall 'Utopian' bottle vase, 1905-1929, impressed Owens, model no. 1068 and 1, enameled with flowers on a 'dull finish' graduated pale-peach to mint-green ground, h: 13.5 in.
