TRICK DOG MECHANICAL BANK Solid base Hubley Mfg. Co. circa 1906. Place a coin in the dog's mouth and press the lever he jumps through the hoop and deposits the coin into the barrel. To reset move the dog to his original position. (VG Cond.)
CAST IRON MECHANICAL BANK, GIRL AND HER DOG 1885 Shepard Hardware, NY, when the lever is pressed the girl drops a coin from the pan into a box while the dog wags its tail and open its mouth. In this bank the trap door of the box is stuck downward and the dog lacks mobility of any kind.

The coin is pushed into the man's hand when the lever is pressed the dog springs forward rapidly and clamps his mouth on the coin and returns to the original position. SPEAKING DOG MECHANICAL BANK WITH TRADE CARD Red Dress Shepard Hardware Co. designed by Charles Shepard & Peter Adams patented 10/20/1885. The coin is placed in a plate held by the girl. The thumb-piece is pressed upon when the girl's arm moves quickly and deposits the coin through a trap door in the bench that opens to receive it. Cast Iron Shoot the Chute Mechanical Bank. Description Manufactured by J&E Stevens & Co. Attributed to Charles Bailey, the foremost and most prolific designer of mechanical banks. Circa 1906. This rare bank features the popular comic character duo of it's day, Buster Brown and his trusty dog Tige. "Raise extension into position; press the hook down and lay a coin in the slot. Place Buster Brown and his boat at the top of chute and start downward." Unlike most other banks, a coin is required for the appropriate action to occur. Includes original box.Condition (EXCELLENT).

SPEAKING DOG MECHANICAL BANK. A great example of this classic bank! A large amount of gold lettering and stenciling is still intact. Girl’s face has some chipping but not offensive, most chipping to lap of her red dress. This bank depicts the girl seated depositing the money from a tray in right hand when dog’s mouth opens and tail wags. SIZE: 7-1/2” x 3” x 7”. Cast Iron Boy and Bulldog Mechanical Bank. Description H.L. Judd Co., Wallingford, CT. Circa: 1880s. Insert a coin into the slot between the dog and the boy. Pulling the lever causes the boy to lean forward as if to push the coin into the bank with his outstretched hand. The dog moves backward at the same time as the coin falls into the bank.
