The miniature painting is signed "Zier". The hand mirror is further embellished with an ornate gilt metal framing.

Condition:
The plaques are in fine functional condition. As expected from their age, dust collected to the surface, particularly in recessed areas; discoloration and heavy wear throughout. The frames of both plaques have areas with cracks and glue residues from restoration attempts; some pieces along the extreme edges are lost. The plaque with a figure wearing a white dress, captured left in the lot listing, has a loss to gilt to its bottom part; there is a minute chip to the oval ring; above the oval ring, there is a loss to the frame; along its backside, there are networks of minute cracks throughout. The plaque with a nude figure, captured left, has a loss to the oval ring in its frame; the top part of the frame is over-sprayed possibly from restoration attempts; along the backside of the frame, there is a loss to the left top; there is an area that is discolored dark, along the backside of the plaque.
