In the original carved and gilded frame. Sight size 12" high by 9" wide. Overall 17" high by 15 1/4" wide. Shows some craquelure and some loss to gilt on frame. Mary Lizzie Macomber was a Pre-Raphaelite painter born in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was a student of Robert Spear Dunning before studying further at the school of Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Much of Macomber’s work was lost in a fire in her studio in 1903. Provenance: Vose Galleries Boston, Massachusetts.
