Malherbe Fortress Percussion Wall Rifle .17.5mm cal. 44'' round heavy barrel breechloading percussion system. Mountings are of iron. The breechblock is screwed to the barrel the breechblock contains the removable chamber. Front sight is fixed to a collar; rear sight is adjustable leaf. European proof marks on the left flat of barrel. Walnut stock with very sharp cartouche. Condition: All metal has turned brown; it was originally burnished bright. Wood has darkened with some nicks and dings.
