C. 1832- L & F MOREAU ART NOUVEAU FRENCH CLOCKFeatured in this lot is this L & F Moreau art nouveau French clock garniture original three-piece set. There is a center mantle clock mounted on a marble base and is titled 'Melodie' and 'L. & F. Moreau M. lee D' Or.' The mantle clock is accompanied by two art nouveau urns mounted on marble bases. L.&.F. Moreau were two brothers who were perhaps best known for creating highly ornate clocks and garniture sets in both bronze and spelter. The "L" stands for Louis Auguste (1855-1919), known for bronzes and metal sculptures. The "F" stands for Hippolyte Francois (1832-1927), a painter and sculptor. The condition of this set of urns and mantle clock shows patina to the metal of the and some small chipping to the marble bases; the clock seems to be missing some of the mechanism and the outside glass to the face of the clock along with one of the feet of a urn falling out of its place. The measurements of this mantle clock is 16" x 20" x 6 1/4" and each urn measures 13 3/4" x 5 3/4" x 5 3/8". The collective weight of this set is 48lb.
