Each marked to the underside with Heintz monogram, Sterling on Bronze.

(7) CIVIL WAR TINTYPES, CDV'S, & MORE(lot of 7) (1) Scarce Civil War CDV, Prince Robert Philippe Louis Eugène Ferdinand of Orléans, Duke of Chartres (grandson of King Louis Philippe, France, 1840-1910, commissioned captain in the Union Army in September of 1861, assistant adjutant general on the staff of General George McClellan, participated in the Battle of Gaines Mill and returned to France shortly after his resignation from the Union Army in July, 1862, CDV back marked Charlet & Jacotin, Paris; (1) Civil War CDV, Major Samuel P. Heintzelman (Samuel Peter Heintzelman, Pennsylvania, 1805-1880), Army of the Potomac, III Corps, participated at Williamsburg, Fair Oaks, Second Battle of Bull Run, later relieved of active command and was in charge of Washington defenses, cdv marked D. Appleton & Co., New York; (1) Studio tintype of three Indian Wars soldiers, two are seated, one standing: (1) Tintype showing uniformed soldier next to older man is civilian attire, likely 1890's; (2) Civil War commemorative cigarette booklets, both with color pictures of a Confederate general at the cover, 16 pages of biography, the back cover a soldier in uniform, copy right by Knapp & Company, 1888, packed in Duke's cigarettes: General Albert Sidney Johnston (1803-1862, a general in the Texian Army, the United States Army, and the Confederate Army);and General E. Kirby Smith (Edmund Kirby Smith, 1824-1893, Major U.S. Army, General Confederate Army); (1) Civil War tintype, the likeness of a soldier of the Irish Brigade, First Regiment, 69th New York Infantry, the unit participating in many battles including Bull Run, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Fredericksburg, the soldier wearing a Hardee hat, a sash believed to symbolize his membership in the Ancient Order of Hibernians, tintype: 5h, 3"w, wood frame: 6.75"h, 5.75"w
