CASED PAIR OF ENGLISH DOUBLE-BARREL PERCUSSION DUELING PISTOLS BY WILLIAM PARKER Circa 1840s, the 8 in. damascus barrels with 63 caliber bore, loading lever, and a bead sight on the rib, which is marked W. PARKER MAKER TO HER MAJESTY HOLBORN LONDON, additional signature on each lockplate, all mounts with fancy floral engraving, the trigger guard and buttplate silvered, walnut stock with checkered grips; the dovetailed mahogany case with brass furniture and a green velvet compartmentalized interior having Parker's anachronistic Georgian business label pasted to the underside of the lid; accessories present include an ebony cleaning rod, brass powder flask, bullet mold, percussion caps, balls, a mahogany-handled wrench, and a small pewter screw-top vial with a tiny blade extending from the lid's underside.

VIOLET OAKLEY (AMERICAN, 1874-1961) 23" x 16 ¾" Portrait of Anthony Klauder Parker, the son of Elfrieda Klauder and architect Harry Ewing Parker, and grandson of Charles Zeller Klauder, American Architect, 1956. Pastel on paper mounted to artist's board, initialed and dated in the lower left corner, in a wooden frame with French matting, overall 30" x 23 ¾". Charles Zeller Klauder (1872-1938) was an American architect best known for his work on university buildings and campus designs, especially his Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh, the first educational skyscraper. The Klauders purchased Cogslea, a country home located in the Philadelphia suburbs, from the Red Rose Girls around after the group of artists disbanded.

- Rare Chinese Export Porcelain Armorial
Rare Chinese Export Porcelain Armorial Saucer Dish, Qianlong Reign (1736-1795), the Fitzhugh-style border executed in underglaze blue, the central armorial executed in famille rose enamels with the arms of Martin impaling Parker and the motto "Pro Patria", dia. 9-1/2". A teacup from this service is illustrated in David Sanctuary Howard's Chinese Export Porcelain (London: Faber & Faber, 1974), page 742, V14. Howard notes that the service belonged to Sir Henry Martin (1733-1794), M.P. and Comptroller of the Navy, and was evidently commissioned sometime between his marriage to Elizabeth Anne Parker in 1761 and his creation as the 1st Baronet Martin of Lockynge in 1791. The service was sold in 1922 upon the extinction of the baronetcy.
