4 CINCINNATI OH COIN SILVER JULEP CUPS INC. AGRICULTURA...Four (4) Ohio coin silver julep cups, all with slightly flaring sides and reeded rims, including one (1) engraved Premium SLW to side, and marked WILLEY & BLAKSLEY in rectangle (Cincinnati, 1830-1835); one (1) engraved JG to side, inscribed "JLG July 9 1911" to underside, and marked E KINSEY and CINCINNATI in rectangles (1834-1861); one (1) with incuse mark DUHME & CO. (Cincinnati, 1842-1896), no monogram); and one (1) with engraved monogram TEJ(?) to side, marked SCOVIL, WILLEY & CO. in rectangle with CINCINNATI in banner (1836-1837). All approximately 3 5/8" H. Combined weight: 17.5 troy ounces.

Condition:
Willey and Blaksley cup has some small dents to rim and bottom, overall very good condition. Kinsey cup has a shallow 2" dent to side. Duhme cup has 1/4" dent to side and seam ridge, with separation at seam on rim. Scovil, Willey & Co. cup shows distinct line at seam.

Bowen , brass carrying handles, 17-1/4 x 30-1/4 x 24 in.; detailed listing of accessories available. Lacking front molding or façade. Deaccessioned from a Southern Museum Collection.

A Renaissance Revival Faux Bois and Gilt-Stenciled Iron Safe Kinsey Rainer and Thompson 393 Broadway NY with a Neo-Grec bronze medallion covering the dial fitted interior with two locking compartments keys and combination included on iron wheels height 32 in. width 20 3/4 in. depth 21 in. Note: Kinsey Rainier and Thompson Company opened in 1897 at 393 Broadway at an address near the city's furniture manufacturing notables Herter Brothers at 547 Broadway Kimbel and Cabus at 928 Broadway and M. & H Schrenkeisen at 23 Elizabeth Street. The use of the finely cast bronze Neo Grec bust on the door and the faux bois decoration indicate the influence of fashionable neighbors and access to artisans and ornament from the New York City trade.
