Hunter bicycles were manufactured by the Hunter Arms Company of Fulton, New York as early as 1895. Famous for their L. C. Smith guns, the firm hoped this crossover would "acquaint gunners with their wheel and wheelmen with their guns." (Sporting Life, December 21, 1895).

51PCS J.G. & C.W. CHAPMAN, SET OF INK DRAWINGS John Gadsby Chapman (American, 1808-1890) and Conrad Wise Chapman (American, 1842-1910), combined 51 pages with 53 separate ink drawings. Sizes range from 2.5" x 4" to 6"x10", most fall in between these ranges. All mounted to period heavy card stock and cut up individually. John Gadsby Chapman is most well known as an illustrator and as the artist who is best known for painting The Baptism of Pocahontas which hangs in the US Capitol Rotunda. His son was Conrad Wise Chapman.
