Springfield Mass cap; (1) substantial English James Dixon and Sons Sheffield powder flask with a fire proof screw off top; (1) powder flask with central dog/fowl; and top; (1) "Dog" powder flask with a screw off top; (1) powder flask with central gentleman and dog with a screw off top; (1) unique powder flask with central acanthus leaf; and (1) fluted powder flask with cap. From a Larchmont, NY estate. Dimensions: powder flasks range in size from approx. 4 1/2" - 11.25" in length. Condition: Powder flasks exhibit wear consistent with age. Some flasks exhibit corrosion, dings, dents, separation, cracks at seems,and old repairs. Some flasks have been restored. Leather flasks exhibit split stitches, creases, and cracks.

WILKINSON Two pieces of Civil War era militaria comprising, a Batty Type B copper Peace flask, 1850-58, having relief molded decoration of an eagle with a shield above clasped hands in an oval of stars and a US military trophy, marked Springfield Mass around spout; together with a US 2nd model 1864 pattern "Wilkinson" cartridge box, with the sub inspector mark for G.T. Woodbury on the bottom right corner of the outer flap, and marked 'W.H. Wilkinson, Maker Springfield, Mass,' on the inner flap just above the implement pouch containing tins, having an original closure tab. Provenance: From the Private Collection of William R.
