DANSK FLUTED FLAMESTONE DINNER SERVICE. Denmark 1963-1985. Partial service in dark brown and cream with fluted rims. Designed by Jens H. Quistgaard. Include dinner and salad plates double handled consomme bowls with lids saucers and demitasse cups and serving pieces. Imperfections. Approximately forty-one pieces. Peper holder has been broken and glues. One diner plate has a 1/8'' chip on rim. A few small scratches to brown matt surface. Includes 8 dinner plates 11 1/4''dia.; 10 salad plates 7 1/4''dia.; 7 double handled consume bowls with lids; 7 saucers and 8 demi-tass cups; 2 creamers; 1 tall coffee pot with lid; two 2-piece round warmers 1 covered 2 quart vegetable with domed lid; 1 covered three quart casserole; 1 covered 5 1/4 quart casserole; salt and pepper. Set has white ground with orange inner and outer border with central armorial crest of an orange lion head with banner above “E. A. C. Recte. Nil. Time”. 19th Century. Set consists of: Five-piece circular serving station which is comprised of four quarter circle covered serving dishes with central round serving dish, fitted into a modern wood double handled tray (one covered dish restored). Overall size is 20” dia. Two 5-3/4” h x 7-1/4” l x 5” covered double handled sauce tureens with 7-3/4” x 6” underliners, 19-3/4” x 17” platter, 18-3/4” x 16-1/4” platter, Large deep 18-1/2” x 16” platter with 14-3/4” x 12” strainer insert, 15-3/4” x 13-1/2” platter, 16” x 13” platter, 14-1/2” x 11-1/2” platter, Two 13-1/4” x 10-12” platters, Two 2-3/4” h x 4” dia. large handled cups, Seven 2-1/2” h x 2-1/2” dia. handled cups, 6” dia saucer, Eight 5-1/2” dia saucers, Twelve 9-3/4” deep plates, Fourteen 9-3/4” shallow plates, Twelve 7-3/4” plates, Two similar pattern 4-1/2” h x 11” x 9” covered serving dishes having oval monogram and no armorial crest. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection. CONDITION: Other than noted above, there may be very slight rim nicks or an occasional hairline. The rims of some of the plates have old nick restoration but generally this dinner service is in very good condition.
