The rubies have a combined weight of approx. 0.60 ct, and the diamonds are approx. 0.15 ct. The shank is stamped "14k/celi," weights approx .5.1 gm. Ring size 5.

14K MASONIC ROYAL ARCANUM U. S. COUNCIL PIN & PENDANT: 14K yellow gold Royal Arcanum United States Council pin. Top piece is a crown with red guilloche enamel and number 1105. A stylized piece with initials VCM hang from the center of the crown, mote, missing one connecting ring. Center piece is a scrolled plaque with black enamel lettering ''United States Council 639 R.A.'' Lower piece is a 5 point star with engraved scroll work. The reverse of the star is engraved ''Presented to P.R. Arthur E. Seymour by United States Council 639 R.A. January 8th 1909. Weight: 30.0 grams. Also included is a Masonic pendant with Masonic symbol on front and enamel VMC 1105 with crown on reverse. Unsure of metal content on pendant, chip to enamel on back.

FEDERAL DOUBLE CHEST OF DRAWERS probably Indiana, ca 1815-1825, of cherry with pine and poplar secondary. A rare form with distinctive reeded edge top, and linen-fold, carved pilasters. The four pairs of adjacent scratch-beaded drawers have brass escutcheons and original brasses, the case rising on turned legs; 48" high x 79" wide x 20.5" wide. Note: Possibly the work of William Tate, Lawrenceburg, Indiana,(w. 1814-1846). Cowan's sold an Indiana bow front chest of drawers, October 17, 2008, Lot #639, with the same distinctive linen-fold carved pilasters. For another similar Tate form, see Walters, PL. VIII.

SCARCE MILLER CONVERSION RIFLE MUSKET. Cal. 58 RF. SN 639. Scarce conversion, one of only about 2,000 made in the period 1865-67. Built on an "1863" dated Parkers' Snow musket with 39" bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug and standard 2-leaf musket rear sight. It is mounted in its orig 1-pc. walnut stock with three bands & tulip head ramrod. Conversion consists of a trapdoor type breechblock attached on a dovetail at the rear end of the bbl. Raising the breechblock actuates a spring-loaded extractor. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Metal is mostly a smooth brown patina with the lockplate cleaned to silver metal color. Stock is missing some chips by the ramrod channel, otherwise is sound with usual handling & use marks. Hammer is missing half cock, otherwise mechanics are fine. SCARCE REMINGTON MODEL 1875 SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 491. Nickel finish with 7-1/2" rnd bbl, pinched blade front sight, long web on the ejector rod housing and 2-piece walnut grips and a lanyard loop in the butt. The bbl has usual markings and the left grip is stamped "44.W." The bottom of the grips are stamped "HR". This is possibly one of the 639 nickel plated Model 1875's purchased by the U.S. Interior Dept. in 1883 for use by Indian Police on western reservations. Accompanied by a pair of old ivory grips for Model 1875 revolver. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains most of its original bright nickel finish with some slight pimpling with pitting on the right side of the frame and hammer. The grips have a dressed down left toe, otherwise show moderate wear with light scratches and handling marks and retain about 85% original varnish. Crisp mechanics, strong bright bore with scattered fine pitting and one larger spot. The spare ivory grips have chips around the frame pin and numerous age lines in the butt. The right side has numerous age lines and maintains a light ivory color. The left side has a few age lines and has a dark mellow patina. 4-53470 JR868 (4,000-7,000)

Lot includes 20 embossed envelopes which feature lace pattern borders around receivers name; two over sized embossed envelopes and eight printed envelopes with elaborate designs in gilt ink. Four are have never been used, 10 have names and address but are with out any form of post mark, 5 have post marks and 11 have stamp and post mark. Sizes range from 4"H x 6"W to 7-1/2"H x 9-1/2"W.
