PAIR OF KPM LIDDED URNS, 19TH CENTURY 17 ½" x 10" x 7 ¾" Overall creamy white ground with scene on each of a romantic couple, verso is of a floral bouquet. Round base with repetitive motifs around the sides, gilt highlights throughout, lower portion of the urn are scrolling serpents on a pastel yellow ground above acanthus leaves. Rims in repeating pattern, gilt around the rim. Leaves on the top around the bronze flame finial. Each piece marked appropriately to the underside along with "144/1B" and impressed "FN2"; the other vase with proper KPM marks and an impressed "2".

ASIAN: Two Asian polychrome urns or fishbowls, details include: one Satsuma type with birds in landscape, border of ornately gilded flowers, interior with painted goldfish among the weeds, 13 1/2" h. x 16" diam.; and one famille rose type with all over rose and vine design accented with blue urns, on light yellow ground with gilt accents, similar floral design to interior, 14" h. x 16 3/4" diam., both pieces with wear consistent with age and use including craquelure and gilt loss.

French urn in cobalt with lovers seated in a garden. Bright color hues of pinks, blues and yellow dominate the clothing. Background trees and florals fill the scene. Figures are seated on park bench with gentleman making gestures to lady. Back side has lake scene with trees and foliage. Heavy rich gilt decoration circles the scenes and surrounding areas. Gilded bronze handles, base and finials hold the vase together. Cover is marked "MBP, France". Portrait is signed "Boinbois" in the lower right. Possibly Sevres. Cover has repairs, otherwise very good condition. 30" high.

Condition:
Silk iron with knob handle has tear to bronze handle on underside, about 3/4"L, one with bone handle has a small minor age crack and some wear/grime to figure, both irons with surface wear and oxidation. Lacquer plaque has 1/2" area of cracking to back near edge. Light wear and some small losses to wooden figures. Male figure appears to have once held something in his hand.

CONDITION
The pair of vases is in overall good condition. Inspection under UV shows fluorescence around the courting figures with the woman dressed in the blue skirt and man with yellow under jacket. The star design on the base shows a crack that has been repaired, only visible under UV. Fluorescence is visible above the woman’s head dressed in a yellow dress with a man in a red under jacket.
